What porta potty types can I rent?

Five unit types cover almost every job: a standard porta potty, a deluxe flushing unit with a sink, a wheelchair-accessible unit, a freestanding hand wash station, and a restroom trailer. Standard units are the default for crews and parties. The others solve a specific need, such as handwashing, guest comfort or accessibility.

Footprints are approximate. Exact model and size are listed on your quote.

Which unit fits through my gate?

A standard porta potty is about 43.5 inches wide, so it needs a gate opening of at least 4 feet plus room for the crew to tilt and carry it. A wheelchair-accessible unit is about 62 inches wide and usually cannot pass a backyard gate. Measure the narrowest point between the truck and the spot before you book.

If the gate is too narrow, the unit goes at the front of the driveway or beside the garage. That spot is also easier to service each week, because the truck must reach the unit to pump it.

When is a unit the wrong choice?

A restroom trailer is the wrong choice without level ground, a power source and room for a truck to back in. A wheelchair-accessible unit is the wrong choice on soft sand with no firm path. A standard unit alone is the wrong choice when food is served, because Florida requires handwashing where food is served at events.

The state rule is in Florida Administrative Code 62-6.0101. It also allows hand sanitizer in place of a sink only when no food is served.

Questions renters ask

Are all your porta potties the same size?

Standard, deluxe flushing and sink units share roughly the same 4-foot footprint. The wheelchair-accessible unit is larger, at about 62 inches square, to fit a wheelchair inside. Restroom trailers are towed units with steps and need a level pad.

Does a standard porta potty have a sink?

A standard unit has a toilet, a urinal, paper and hand sanitizer, but no sink. For a sink, choose a deluxe flushing unit or add a freestanding hand wash station beside one or more standard units.

What colors are available?

Most units are blue, gray or tan. Ask for a color when you book an event. We match it when the fleet allows. Pink units are sometimes available for showers and parties.

Can you send a photo of the unit I will get?

We can text or email a photo of the unit type before delivery. The driver can also send a photo of the unit set up at your spot.

Is a standard plus a hand wash station cheaper than a deluxe unit?

A standard unit with a separate hand wash station usually costs less than one deluxe flushing unit, and the station can serve several toilets. A deluxe unit makes sense when you want the sink inside, out of view.
