Delivery and timing
Can you deliver a porta potty today?
Same-day delivery is possible when a unit and a truck slot are open on today's routes. Call (386) 355-9789 early in the day. A rush fee may apply, and the dispatcher quotes it before you confirm.
Can you get it here tomorrow?
Next-day delivery is usually open. Orders confirmed by mid-afternoon are the easiest to place on tomorrow's route.
How much notice do you need?
One to two business days covers most orders. Book 2 to 4 weeks ahead for busy spring and fall weekends, and 3 to 6 months ahead for restroom trailers on wedding Saturdays.
Do you deliver on Saturday or Sunday?
Saturday deliveries run from 7am to 7pm. Sunday delivery is not scheduled. For a Sunday event, the unit arrives on Saturday or Friday.
If my party is on Saturday, when will you drop off and pick up?
Weekend event units are delivered Friday, or Thursday when Friday is full, and picked up Monday. After a holiday weekend, pickup is Tuesday. The flat event price covers those days.
Can you drop it off the morning of my event?
Morning-of delivery can be arranged at an added charge, because it holds a driver to a set time. It is useful for parks that do not allow overnight units.
Can you pick it up Saturday evening instead of Monday?
A Saturday evening pickup can sometimes be added for an extra charge. Monday pickup is included in the event price.
What time will the driver arrive?
There is no fixed appointment time. The driver calls about 30 to 60 minutes before arriving. Add a note if you prefer morning or afternoon.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
You do not need to be home. Mark the spot with a cone or flag, unlock the gate or share the code, and keep your phone on.
Can you deliver to a rural lot with no street address?
Rural lots are fine. Send a map pin or GPS coordinates, the nearest road and a landmark, or meet the driver at the road.
Can I reserve now if my exact date is not set?
A date can be reserved and moved later with at least 24 hours' notice before delivery, at no charge.
Do you deliver to my town?
We deliver to every town in Putnam County and to job sites and venues up to 80 miles from Palatka, across 20 counties. Give us your ZIP code to confirm.
Prices, fees and payment
How much does a porta potty rental cost?
A standard event unit starts around $175 and a 28-day job-site unit around $185 with weekly service. Delivery is priced by distance from Palatka. See the pricing guide for every unit.
Is the price per day or for the whole rental?
The event price covers the whole event period, up to 5 days from delivery to pickup. There is no daily rate.
Is the price per unit?
Unit prices are per unit. Delivery is one charge for the whole order.
Does the price include delivery and pickup?
Your quote lists delivery and pickup as their own lines next to the unit price, so the total shows everything.
Are there hidden fees?
The itemized quote lists every charge: unit, delivery, pickup, any rush fee, extra service and sales tax. Nothing is added after delivery unless you change the order or the unit is damaged.
Is sales tax included?
Sales tax is shown as its own line on the quote. Tax-exempt groups can send their Florida exemption certificate to have it removed.
Why does the price change by address?
Delivery is priced by miles from our Palatka yard. Addresses in Putnam County cost the least to reach.
Can you send me a price list?
Prices depend on your ZIP code, dates and unit, so a quick call or the quote form gets an exact number faster than a list.
Do you offer discounts?
Orders of 3 or more units, churches, nonprofits, military families and repeat contractors can ask about discounted pricing.
Is a weekday delivery cheaper?
Weekday delivery for a weekend event is included in the event price. Saturday-only or set-time deliveries cost more.
Do I pay the full amount up front?
Event rentals are paid in full at booking to hold the date. Monthly rentals are charged at the start of each 28-day cycle.
What payment methods do you take?
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, debit or credit, by phone or secure payment link. Business accounts can be invoiced. Cash is not accepted.
Can I pay later and still book?
A booking is held once payment is made. If you need to pay later, the delivery date moves with the payment.
Can you hold a quoted price?
A quote is held for a short time, usually a few days. Prices on busy weekends can rise as units book up.
Units and sizing
What is the difference between unit types?
A standard unit has a toilet, urinal and sanitizer. A sink unit adds a foot-pump sink. A deluxe unit adds a flush. An accessible unit fits a wheelchair. A restroom trailer has stalls, flush toilets, lights and air conditioning.
What comes in a standard unit?
A seat over a 60-gallon tank, a urinal, two paper holders, hand sanitizer, a mirror, a vent pipe and a lockable door with an occupied sign.
Does a standard unit have a sink?
A standard unit has hand sanitizer but no sink. Add a hand wash station outside, or choose a sink or deluxe unit.
Does a flushing unit need water or power?
A deluxe flushing unit needs no hookups. Flush and sink water ride in its own tank, good for roughly 75 flushes.
How big is a porta potty?
A standard unit is about 43.5 inches wide, 47 inches deep and 91 inches tall. The wheelchair-accessible unit is about 62 inches square.
Do you have family-size units?
Standard, sink and deluxe units share the same footprint. The accessible unit is the largest, with room for a wheelchair or a parent and child.
How many people can one unit serve?
About 50 party guests over 5 hours, or 10 workers for a week with weekly service. Use the calculator for your count.
Do you have units with lights?
Porta potties let in daylight but have no lights. Hang a battery tap light for evening events, or choose a restroom trailer.
What colors do you have?
Most units are blue, gray or tan. Ask about pink units for showers and parties.
Can I tow a porta potty behind my truck?
Units are set on the ground by our truck. Customers do not tow them. Moves on the same site happen on a service visit.
Can you text me a photo of the unit?
A photo of the unit type can be texted or emailed before delivery.
Are event units different from construction units?
Event units are kept separate from job-site units, so party and wedding guests get newer-looking, event-only units.
Cleaning and service
Do you clean the unit during the rental?
Monthly and job-site rentals include a weekly service: pump, wash, sanitize and restock. Multi-day events get daily service.
How often is a unit serviced?
Weekly is the minimum under Florida rules. Busy sites can add a second weekly visit.
Do short rentals need cleaning?
An event rental of one day arrives clean and leaves after the event without service. Events longer than one day get daily service, as Florida requires.
Can you clean the unit mid-event?
A mid-event service can be added to a reunion, festival or multi-day wedding. Trailers get a pump, clean, restock and water refill.
Will the service crew tell me before they come?
Service runs on a fixed weekly day. Leave a gate code, or ask for a text before the visit.
Do you leave extra toilet paper?
Units are restocked at each visit. Job-site units get large industrial rolls. Ask for spare rolls for long events.
My unit smells. What should I do?
Call dispatch. Florida heat speeds up odor, so a busy unit may need a second weekly service or a shaded spot. We send a service as soon as a route allows.
Placement, access and permits
Can I choose where the unit goes?
Placement is your choice as long as the spot is level, firm and within about 10 feet of where the truck can park.
Can it go in the backyard?
Backyard placement works when the gate is at least 4 feet wide and the ground is firm. The service truck must also reach it every week.
Can you stake it down for wind?
Units at open or coastal sites can be staked or strapped. Before a named storm, call to secure or remove units.
Can I lock the unit?
A padlock or combination lock can be added. Share the code for service days.
Am I responsible if the unit is damaged?
Normal wear is on us. Damage from fire, vandalism or misuse while the unit is on your site may be charged. Locking the unit helps.
Are you responsible for damage to my driveway or lawn?
Drivers avoid pavers, sprinklers and soft ground you point out. Mark hidden items before delivery, because unmarked items cannot be avoided.
Do I need a permit?
Private property usually needs no permit. Public events, streets and sidewalks may need city or county approval. See Florida porta potty rules.
The park does not allow overnight units. What can I do?
Book a same-day drop and pickup. It costs more because a driver is held to set times.
Events, weddings and parties
What do you recommend for a wedding?
A restroom trailer when the venue has power and level ground, or deluxe flushing units when it does not. Plan 1 toilet per 50 guests plus 1 for an open bar.
Can I get something that does not look like a porta potty?
A restroom trailer looks like an indoor bathroom. A deluxe flushing unit is a step up from a standard unit in look and feel.
Can I book for next year?
Bookings a year or more ahead are welcome. Lock the date now and change the count later.
Can I hold a unit while I check with my family?
A quote can be held for a short time. Popular weekends fill first, so book once the date is firm.
We hold events every month. Is it cheaper to leave the unit?
Often it is. A 28-day rental with weekly service can cost less than monthly delivery and pickup. Ask for both prices.
Can I rent for a 3-day festival?
Multi-day events use the event price with daily service added, as Florida requires for events.
How much for a second week?
A second week is priced as a second event period. Past two weeks, a 28-day rental costs less.
Construction and job sites
What is the monthly rate for a job-site toilet?
From about $185 per 28-day cycle with weekly service included, plus first-cycle delivery and a small pickup fee.
Can you add a hand wash station?
Hand wash stations can be added to any job. Florida requires 1 per 10 restrooms.
Can I set up a company account?
Rentals can be set up under your company name, with job names and PO numbers on invoices.
Can I email a scope of work?
Email the scope to info@palatkaportapotty.com with crew size, start date and duration, and we reply with a quote.
Can you quote several job sites?
Each site is priced by ZIP code, and all sites can be billed together on one account.
Do you rent holding tanks for office trailers?
Holding tanks for office trailers can be quoted. Send the fixture count and job length.
Home and long-term rentals
Can I rent a porta potty during a bathroom remodel?
Bathroom remodels are one of the most common home rentals, on a 28-day cycle with weekly service.
My water is off. Can I get one fast?
Call for same-day delivery. If today is full, the next morning is usually open.
Can I keep a unit at my house build for six months?
A unit can stay for months, renewing every 28 days with weekly service until you call.
Can I rent for two weeks only?
A two-week rental is billed as one 28-day cycle. Call when you are done and we pick it up.
Can I keep a unit at a farm, barn or hunting camp?
Seasonal and year-round units are common at farms, barns and camps, on monthly cycles.
How do I end a monthly rental?
Call before the next 28-day cycle starts. Billing stops on the confirmed pickup date.
Cancellations, changes and pickup
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before scheduled delivery for a full refund. Later cancellations may carry a trip fee. Full terms are on the rental terms page.
Can I change my date?
Date changes are free with at least 24 hours' notice before delivery, subject to availability.
How do I schedule a pickup?
Call or email with your order number. Tell us if there is a gate code, and leave the unit unlocked.
Do I need to sign anything?
You receive a digital order confirmation by text or email. Signing it confirms the dates, units, placement notes and terms.
Accessible units and trailers
Do you have ADA or handicap units?
Wheelchair-accessible units are available, with ground-level entry, handrails and a 62-inch-square cabin.
What is the difference between ADA and handicap units?
The names describe the same thing: a larger unit a wheelchair can enter and turn around in.
Does the accessible unit have a sink?
The accessible unit has no sink, because the turning space takes the room. Add a hand wash station beside it.
How much is a restroom trailer?
Two-stall trailers start around $1,500 and four-stall trailers around $2,800 for an event period, before delivery and tax.
What does a two-stall trailer include?
Two private stalls, each with a flush toilet and sink, plus mirrors, lights and air conditioning.
Does a trailer need water and power?
A trailer needs a 120-volt outlet and a hose connection. Without them, we add a generator and water tank for an extra charge.
Are there air-conditioned porta potties?
Air conditioning comes only in restroom trailers.
